All it requires is a group of similarly-motivated community members who are passionate about social change! Calling all community folks and youth who want to make a difference and spread the Fairtrade movement. Organise an event about Fairtrade and bring the Fairtrade movement to your community and change lives.
Educate your neighbourhood on Fairtrade Weekend by organising a film screening in your apartment or at your residents’ welfare association and talk to your neighbours about the advantages of buying Fairtrade. Spend half-an-hour of your society book club or kitty party to talk about this.
November is too lovely a time to be cooped indoors. Plan a picnic with Fairtrade ingredients – a biryani with Fairtrade rice and spices, cookies and cakes with Fairtrade sugar, and of course a flask with Fairtrade iced tea. Don’t forget to take a picture of the spread with the Fairtrade Mark.
